Situated on the scenic shores of Lake Ontario, the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour Event Centre is a beautiful and historic venue full of character. Originally known as Hatter’s Bay, the site was developed in the 1800s to support the nearby Kingston Penitentiary. It later gained international recognition when it was redeveloped to host the sailing events for the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics.

Today, the venue blends rich history with modern convenience—making it an ideal setting to connect, share ideas, and shape the future of municipal sponsorship.

The 2026 WSC® Municipal Sponsorship Summit will be held on the second floor, in a welcoming and versatile space regularly used for meetings, events, and community gatherings—right in the heart of Kingston. We’re proud to host this year’s Summit at such a scenic and meaningful location.
